This painting was inspired by a refreshing brook I passed on a sweltering hot day on my “camino” to Santiago de Compostela. I had been walking for hours in the sun with no shade. When I saw this stream of water alongside, it gave me refreshment and encouragement, even though I did not even put my feet in.
This painting was hung up for one year (2020) in the Legislative Building in Toronto, Ontario, as part of the A La Carte Exhibition. It won the Crystal Award in the “Water” Exhibition in 2019 with GalleryRing.
