She Humbled Herself and Her Soul Magnified the Lord
This painting was inspired by a photo I took outside a convent, while on the Camino, an 800 km walk across Spain. It was evening and the sun was so bright behind the clouds. The white statue of Mary looked dark, being overshadowed by the sun. It made me think of Mary’s humanity, her humility, and how she was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit when Jesus Was Conceived in her womb.
